Disposable Memories or Heirloom Professional Images? What do you choose?
Do you use your phone to take photo's?
Phones are fine for snapshots; however, they are images not based on the artistic side of photography. Do not settle for anything but professionally taken Photographs of your special day, event, family portrait or your child's photo. Heirloom and artistic images are created by Photographers who usually are well trained professionals. Photographers spend a great deal of time in school or shadowing another photographer to learn photography. There are so many things to know before creating just any photo. Photos taken with just your smart phone can be nice, but people rarely print them because they are usually quick and disposable. If you do not understand the numbers on the camera lens or flash to the left then you are doing a snapshot.
Even if you do understand the numbers do you know about how they affect an image? A photographer knows about different types of light, fill flash and how to use it or when to use it. Do you understand how to pose your subjects that tell a story or do you know what candid photos are or what a candid photo is? Everything I listed are but a few things to know when shooting what is supposed to be the best day of your life. Asking relatives or friends to take snap shots is risky business. I personally as a photographer have never met anyone yet that was not disappointed when getting images from say "amateurs" while they documented your special day.
Make the Investment, hire a professional photographer. Rember the cost for your special day, the dresses, tuxes and so on only to not then hire a professional photographer for artistically capturing the images you have in mind.
